Dittiscombe Estate & Cottages
Dittiscombe Estate & Cottages is set in a peaceful wildlife valley near Slapton Sands beach and the South West Coast Path in South Devon. The family friendly and dog-friendly cottages are idea for small famlies and couples cottages as they are all located around the Old Farmhouse and set within a tranquil rewilded valley of woods, meadows and ponds. Guests and their dogs can enjoy this unique and exclusive sapce space on holiday.
The historic village of Slapton, with its dog-friendly pubs, is just two miles from Dittiscombe valley, and the freshwater lagoon at Slapton Ley is a treasured national nature reserve. The cottages are located close to the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, renowned for its gentle rolling hills, wildlife estuaries, and unspoilt coastline.
To make the most of the beautiful surroundings and woodland at Dittiscombe we now offer guests nature connection experiences such as Forest Bathing, Nature Walks and Small Scale Rewilding Guided tours, all bookable with us through the Experiences section of our website. You can make it a part of your stay here, or just visit us for one of these events.
Our stone cottages sleep from 2-4 guests, each has its own garden and views. There are log-burners, spa baths, and wifi.
Honeysuckle sleeps 2, dogs welcome. This is a pretty single-storey detached cottage with far reaching views over the valley. You can relax in front of the woodburner and watch the wildlife over the pond, woodland and surrounding flower banks. King size bed, enclosed garden, woodburner.
The Owlery, sleeps 2, pet free cottage. This is a perfect cottage for couples as it is situated in its own area of valley at Dittiscombe, with lovely views over the orchard and pond. King-size bed, extra large spa bath big enough for 2 and a woodburner. This is a pet free cottage with its own private parking space.
Dovecote, sleeps 3, 2 bedrooms, 2 dogs welcome. This cottage has a cosy sitting room with woodburner, a separate kitchen dining area with extending dining table, king size bed and a second bedroom with single bed. There is a two-tiered garden with views with direct access to orchard, meadows and nature trail.
Rafters, sleeps 3, 2 bedrooms, 2 dogs welcome. This cottage has an open plan ground floor area with sliding patio doors and lovely views to the enclosed garden. There is stone built fireplace with flame-effect electric fire, an extending dining table, a double bedroom and second twin room.

Honeysuckle, Rafters and Dovecote are all dog friendly and up to 2 dogs welcome: £25 per dog per week and £10 per dog per short break.
The Owlery is a pet free cottage.
Prices include heating, linen. Short breaks available throughout the year except school summer holidays.
