We’ve teamed up with The Palace Theatre, Paignton to giveaway two pairs of tickets to Agatha Christie's Black Coffee in June or July - that means two winners!

Soak up the atmosphere on Agatha Christie’s English Riviera and top it all off with an evening at the Paignton’s Palace Theatre enjoying a performance of Christie’s first published play.

Devon’s Bijou Theatre Company’s 20th annual Agatha Christie play at the Palace marks the company’s long association with the ‘Queen of Crime’. Although perhaps better known as a crime novelist, Christie’s has been described as ‘most successful female playwright of all time’.

This year’s production of Black Coffee starts on Wednesday 11th June and thereafter runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings until 31st July.

An accomplished physicist is left with a bitter taste in his mouth when a secret document of national importance is stolen from his very home. Seeking a swift remedy, he locks the doors and switches off the lights to allow the thief to replace it, no questions asked. But the darkness brings death, a chest full of poisons, a tangle of family feuds and a house full of suspicious guests. It’s a case that only Hercule Poirot can unravel…

4. The prize includes two free tickets (to each winner) to any of the shows in the 2025 Agatha Christie run at the Palace Theatre in Paignton. The Palace Theatre will attempt to accommodate preferred seats on your preferred date, however, this will be subject to availability.
5. All parts of the prize are subject to availability.
6. The winner will be the first name drawn at random after the closing date of 27/08/2024.
7. You must be 18 or over to enter.
8. Any additional expenditure outside of the stated package is not included.
9. This competition is open to UK residents only (England, Scotland, Wales).
10. Employees connected with this promotion or any companies or agencies directly connected with the creation and administration of this promotion or their families are excluded from taking part in this competition. Anyone found to be a third-party supplier will automatically forfeit the prize and a new selection will take place.
11. The winner will be selected at random after the closing date. The winner will be notified by email or direct message and will have 5 days to accept their prize. If the winner does not accept their prize within 5 days, it will be offered to another entrant.
12. The winner's name and email will be sent to The Palace Theatre for distribution of the tickets.
