Author Talk and Book Signing
Join Somerset author, JUSTIN NEWLAND, for a lively, illustrated talk
Exploring the impact of Ancient Egypt on our everyday lives.
Somerset author Dr. Justin Newland’s fascination with the supernatural inspired his debut novel, The Genes of Isis, a tale of love, destruction and ethereal power set beneath Ancient Egyptian skies.
Taking place at Tiverton Library from 11.00 a.m.-12.30 p.m. on Saturday 9th March 2019, Justin will discuss his writing and explore why Ancient Egypt is known as ‘The Mother and Father of All Things.’ There’ll also be an opportunity to buy a signed copy of the book.
Author Bio
After a long career in I.T., Justin’s love of literature finally seduced him and, in 2006, he found his way to the creative keyboard to write his first novel. His second is The Old Dragon’s Head, a historical fantasy and supernatural thriller set during the Ming Dynasty and played out in the shadows the Great Wall of China. He is currently working on a novel set in East Prussia during the Enlightenment in the 18th Century which speculates on an alternative genesis to the Industrial Revolution. Justin writes historical fiction with a supernatural twist. His novels explore the spirit of our times, the underlying narrative to every culture and nation.
