Dartmouth is a beautiful waterside town, with gorgeous independent shops, and quaint narrow streets, but is easily accessible by car. The Flavel is located in the centre of town, in Flavel Place, a short 1-minute walk from the main town car park in Mayor’s Avenue, and with public on-street parking for about 20 cars immediately outside the building. In high season (from 25 March to 31 October) the main car park is limited to a maximum of 4 hours.
On street parking on the North Embankment is free all day from 1 October to 30 April. Between 1 May to 30 September most on-street parking is limited to one or two hours.
Dartmouth is approximately 14 miles (30 minutes’ drive) from Totnes, and approximately 8 miles (40 minutes including a short ferry crossing) from Paignton and Torquay.
The Park and Ride Bus operates from the car park at the top of town, by the leisure centre, from 25 March until 31 October.
