AA rosette award-winning dining, contemporary interiors, local ales, fine wines and views stretching across Start Bay are just a few things that make this one of the most enjoyable pubs in Devon, not to mention the warm welcome from the Cricket team eager to make you feel at home.
Outside seating means you can dine alfresco-style in the summer months overlooking the sea, sipping your favourite tipple whilst indulging in some of the freshest seafood, caught just yards from the pub. The elegant, light and cosy interiors make it just as appealing inside and a place to enjoy lunch with the family or a refreshing drink after hiking across the coastal path with your four-legged friend (also very welcome in the bar!).
The Head Chef and his team are stong supporters of all things local, using fresh produce from around the South Hams, with crab, scallops and lobsters caught right on the Cricket Inn doorstep.
The Josper is a new addition to the kitchen. This state-of-the-art oven combines a grill and oven in one single machine and works soley with charcoal to give dishes that unique smokey flavour. Guests can choose from the traditional fish and chips, the signature seafood pancake to the Josper-grilled steaks, whole fish and vegetable kebabs.
If you’re looking for a place to host a special celebration or a coastal wedding, the Cricket Inn can accommodate up to 100 guests for a private party. The pub’s 7 bedrooms are beautifully decked-out with all the mod cons and special seaside touches and 5 bedrooms are perfectly positioned with panoramic seaviews which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the bed!
