Creative Craft Show returns to Exeter this September with in-person workshops and demonstrations
SHOW DATES: 23 – 26 SEPTEMBER 2021
The world of craft has attracted many enthusiasts over the last 18 months, from families and friends to Olympian Tom Daley. The Creative Craft Show, returning to Exeter’s Westpoint Arena from Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th September, has something for everyone, from brand new crafters to seasoned professionals.
The Creative Craft Show brings the hottest new supplies and latest trends to die hard crafters and newcomers alike in the South West. Visitors to the show can dive in to knitting, sewing, felting, papercraft, calligraphy, stained glass, jewellery making plus update their supplies stash with the latest products and creations from the world of creative craft. Inspiration, ideas and tips from experts are also available with a range of workshops and demonstrations including:
Crafting with Lyndsey
Based in South Devon, Lyndsey delivers craft workshops, retreats and parties across the South West. She has a range of craft kits that are perfect for beginners and those with experience that want to try something new. Lyndsey joined the Creative Craft Show LIVE community during lockdown early last year to deliver a series of virtual workshops and will be joining the shows in person in September to provide workshops in a range of subjects including macrame, fabric flower making, bargello needlepoint, and finger knitting.
The Modern Calligraphy Company
Aiming to inspire beginners, enthusiasts, and professionals to continue to develop their calligraphy skills and their passion for lettering, The Modern Calligraphy Company is coming to Exeter for the first time for demonstrations, hints, tips and workshops plus the chance to stock up on kits and tools.
Devon Felters with Wool on the Wire
A group of non-profit textile artists and tutors who craft designer wearables, interiors, accessories, jewellery, sculptural plus eco printing and patchwork who will be hosting workshops and demonstrations throughout the show.
Kerrie Padmore – Living in Loveliness
After Kerrie’s successful run of virtual sewing tutorials, via Creative Craft Show Live, it’s time to join her now at a real live event. Kerrie’s passion lies in bringing people together in workshops through their shared joy of sewing - join her at the Exeter show and learn how to make a finished sewn item to take home.
Tracey Quinn
Tracey of Glass Garden Studios will be demonstrating the art of Stained Glass at the show. Cutting, shaping and “leading” glass into creative designs, offering handy tips visitors may want to know to get started in this traditional craft.
To ensure visitor safety at the show, aisles will be wider to accommodate social distancing and floor markings and clear signage will be used throughout the show. Those attending workshops can sit at individual tables with pre-packaged craft kits to minimise contact where possible.
