Having recently been awarded Gold for ‘Dog Friendly Business of the Year’ in the Devon Tourism Awards we were entered into the regional tourism awards. The South West Tourism Excellence Awards encompassed a vast area including; the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Bristol and Bath, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. We are delighted that our dedication to quality tourism was once again recognised by being awarded Silver for ‘Dog Friendly Business of the Year’ in the South West. The winners were the Cornish Seal Sanctuary – worth a day trip from the cottages!

Bolberry Farm Cottages are three traditional barn conversion cottages nestling in the quiet hamlet of Bolberry, half a mile from the South West Coast Path and National Trust’s Bolberry Down. We pride ourselves on our pet friendliness and have been welcoming all pets – not just dogs – completely free of charge for the past 18 years. We recognise that pets, especially dogs, are important family members and therefore we don’t impose a restriction on the number of pets allowed to come on their holidays or indeed add to the cost of a holiday by charging for dogs.

Dogs arrive to a welcome pack of treats, water, bowls, extendable dog leads, poop bags and collar tags. Doggy life-jackets are also available on request at no extra charge. Each cottage has an enclosed garden and within this a further enclosed area for easy late-night toileting. After walking the stunning coast path, or enjoying a muddy walk or playing on one of the many nearby dog friendly beaches, paws can be washed in the useful dog wash before curling up by the cosy fireside.

Our award-winning cottages are in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with countless countryside and coastal walks from the front doors of the cottages. Once guests have arrived, they can keep their cars parked up for the entirety of their stay. The coastline – in both directions – has many dog friendly beaches to choose from and also a range of dog friendly eating places, from beach cafes to restaurants.
