Wordplay Sidmouth is a celebration of words and great evening of entertainment for poets, prosaists and storytellers!

Word lovers across the South West, come and embrace the opportunity to perform your poetry, prose or storytelling skills in front of a very appreciative audience!

Wordplay was founded by Tracey and Simon West, both performance poets and formerly the organisers of Vittles and Verse in Lyme Regis. They're also the co-founders of the Tipton St John-based international reforestation charity, Word Forest, the organisation that Wordplay raises money for.

Word Forest's mission is to combat the climate crisis by reforesting Kenya with fast growing, predominantly food bearing trees.

Admission is £4 on the door, which includes a hot or cold soft beverage.

For more information about the event and to find out more about Word Forest's mission, visit WordForest.org/wordplay.

To find out more about Word Forest, see their free to watch documentary on YouTube #TreesAreTheKey narrated by Kate Winslet.
