The Sound Preservation Society: '7 Deadly Spins' @ The Lucky 7 Club!

In March we invited The Sound Preservation Society to join us at The Lucky 7 Club for a night on the dancefloor and they got us all moving and grooving with their 'Soul'd Out &, Funk'd Up' sounds playing the 'Sharper Sounds of Funk, Soul and Grooves'

We love like minded people and good music, that's what we are all about at The Lucky 7 Club and for the summer we have something really amazing happening!

The Seven Deadly Spins: 7 DJS each bringing their bags of tricks spread over the whole club.

The Sound Preservation Society: Funk'D Up, Soul'D Out, Hammond Grooves & Rhythm 'n' Blues! Harry will be chopping up the Funk and Beats and blending it with some Psychedelic sounds, whilst joining Jay in the Soul Kitchen, where he'll be mixing up his Grooves with a splash of Rhythm n Blues!

Lee 'Grimmers' Grimshaw: Although Lee wears several hats from the musical genre wardrobe, his main drive is anything ClubSoul/RnB/HammondJazz/Funk/LatinBoogaloo derived, with a little 60sGarage and Medway Magic thrown in too.

Little Miss Mojo: This fine voice could be found in the Blue-Eyed Soul section of any record shop, along with Julie Driscoll, Dusty Springfield and even Lulu! Within the magic potion there is also a mix of Northern Soul, 60s Psychedelia, Funk and Motown.

JunkWax: Taking you on a ride of 50's jump blues, R&B, soul, surf, hammond & other grubby & groovy delights! JunkWax is also well known for running Cornwall's finest record shop, Retro Sounds Records, based in Newquay.

Dicky Ticker: Turn on, tune in and drop out to the sounds of Andy ' Dicky Ticker' Davis as he will be supplying some far out sounds for your ears from his collection of genres from far beyond!

John Penfold: John Bongo Funk: Devon Funk and Soul Club's John 'Bongo Funk' Penfold likes to get people on their feet - his sound is based around raw sixties soul and fine seventies funk. But he's not a big fan of genres... Funk, Soul, Rhythm and Groove - it's in the bag if it makes you move".

This promises to be really AMAZING night. We have a great wooden dance floor and a unique venue! See you there groovers!

Hidden away in the centre of Paignton The Lucky 7 Club is a real speakeasy with a closed door policy – all tickets need to be booked in advance so you know where we are and we'll send you a ticket so you can get in – it's intriguing, it's exciting and unlike anything else in Torbay!

The Lucky 7 Club operates as a Member's Club so everyone must be either an Annual Member or a Guest Member. Both can be purchased via our website: www.thelucky7club.com

The Lucky 7 Club is cabaret seated and over 18s so the usual things apply – email us if you want to sit with friends!
