Dartmoor is one of the most beautiful places in the UK with not many roads but plenty of wild food and clean growing environments for the freshest tasting plants we find anywhere.
We will meet at The Cleave Inn in Lustleigh at 12pm. The course starts there with a 30 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
After the talk we'll set off for a 2-3 hour walk in the local area, around the woods fields and hedgerows, identifying the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find. We will stop somewhere along the way for some of our tasty wild food soup or possibly some elderflower champagne.
Then we'll head back to The Cleave we'll for a tatsy wild food lunch including a salad that we'll pick on the day, a mushroom dish we will cook in front of you and some other treats that we'll bring along with us.
There are limited spaces available so please book your place online.
