Pottery Workshop: Make Christmas Decorations

Come and join local potter Caroline Davis at Seaton Wetlands on Saturday 16th November from 10.30-12.30 to make your own special personalised ceramic Christmas decorations.

Caroline will show you how to work with clay to create a series of six individual decorations.

During the workshop you'll use get creative with cutters and templates to shape your decorations and use stamps and textures to form patterns.

Leaves and other foliage look beautiful pressed into the clay to decorate, there will be some on hand for you to use but do feel free to bring your own or anything with a lovely pattern - lace is always stunning!

Your creations will then be taken away to dry and be kiln fired. The bisque decorations will be ready to collect from Seaton Wetlands 2 weeks later (postage can be arranged for an additional cost).

Your decorations can be decorated with acrylic paints or pens at home, or you can return for our second workshop on Saturday 30 November where we will use underglazes to decorate. The second workshop will be at a 50% discount on the advertised price if you have attended the initial workshop as you will have your own decorations to glaze!

Cost £40.00 per workshop per person.
Includes expert tuition, all materials and hot drinks and a mice pie!
Please bring an apron, clays are washable but older clothes are best!
