As part of our autumn tour celebrating the work of one of the UK's greatest composers, we present a series of recitals of opera arias composed by Handel for the singers Francesca Cuzzoni and Giuseppe Maria Boschi, who sang some of his greatest roles in the 18th century.
Soprano Hilary Cronin and baritone Jerome Knox, winners of the London Handel Competition in 2021 and 2020, present a selection of arias written by two of Handel's favourite singers, together with a brief description of their careers. They are conducted by Alexander Robinson, with a small chamber group drawn from the Old Street Band.
