Join South Devon National Landscape and County archaeologist, Bill Horner for a stroll around two of the three castles in Dartmouth
Discover how this important harbour has been defended for hundreds of years, right back to the 14th century.
The added bonus at this time of year is the carpet of bluebells at Gallants Bower.
This event is organised by the South Devon National Landscape team, as part of the South Devon Coastal Heritage Project supported by Historic England.
Suitable for adults and young people aged 14+ with an interest in local history. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult.
The walk will be around 2 km and does involve uneven footpaths, steps and steep inclines.
Wear clothes suitable for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Also bring water (Castle Cafe also serving drinks and snacks).
