What’s on in Teignmouth & Dawlish | Love Dawlish/Teignmouth

In the spring Dawlish holds an annual Walking Festival, where a series of events are held throughout the town over a number of days celebrating the great walks which can be enjoyed in and around the town. 

Dawlish has its own Farmers Market which is held on the second Saturday of each month on The Lawn, here you can find wonderful fresh local produce being sold by the farmers and producers who make and grow the veg, fruits and preserves locally.

Dawlish carnival takes place during the summer months and is a weeklong celebration for the town. With a number events held throughout the week centred around the beach, The Lawn and Brook there is great fun to be had by all. The week of festivities then ends with the carnival procession through the town where floats of all colours and sizes parade through the streets.

And the list of what’s on in Dawlish goes on; at Powderham Castle, a nearby historical house with stunning grounds, you’ll find an amazing range of events which are hosted throughout the year. From garden and food festivals, children’s entertainment throughout the school holidays to evening shows, concerts and music festivals as well as car shows and a michaelmas fair. The castle, with its stunning location on the banks of the River Exe, is definitely worth a visit.
