Dartmouth Orchestra is a keen amateur group with players from across the South Hams. This is our first concert in Stokenham and we are grateful to Father Michael for the invitation to play in this beautiful church. Our Spring Concert features a witty, bouncy overture to one of the greatest 18th century operas by Cimarosa. Next we present Krommer's concerto: an entertaining and ingenious dialogue for two clarinets supported by orchestra - guaranteed to bring a smile to the listeners. We close with an exhilarating, good humoured symphony from Beethoven. This is music full of optimism in the face of adversity as he appeared to come to terms with his deafness.

After the concert you are invited to stay and meet the orchestra and enjoy drinks and nibbles.
