Christmas at the Castle is back!
Opening Times
Open Monday 29th November to Friday 31st December (excluding Monday 13th for a wedding and Christmas Day). Closed on Wednesdays, excluding the 22nd.
Daytime opening hours: 12pm - 4pm. Evening opening hours: 5pm - 9pm.
Please note, the castle will be closed between 4pm and 5pm on weekends to give the elves a break!

The Christmas grotto will be located in the Secret Garden this year. Transport will be available to any with accessibility requirements.
This year....
After last year’s sell out event, we are delighted to announce the return of Christmas at the Castle throughout December 2021! Our light walk will extend over a mile through the grounds and gardens of Powderham Castle. We’ve also modified the route to ensure no steps, grassy paths or muddy tracks!
This year, we’re opening the castle so that visitors can explore! Beautifully decorated for Christmas and with exciting light features, displays and story telling.
The trail will lead all the way to the Secret Garden, where our animal friends will be waiting to meet you, plus offering pony rides and goat walks. With warm drinks and snacks available from the Potting Shed.
The Christmas Barn will become a magical market, with traders and crafts people, perfect to get some of your Christmas presents. Plus the mulled wine and cider bar and a selection of delicious food vendors perfect for dinner accompanied by festive music.
Plus, our Christmas Grotto will be returning too! Tickets once again will be limited and so we invite you to book as soon as possible.
