Join us for this exclusive Artist Private View with local artist Emma Solley, and enjoy a glass of Classic Cuvee on arrival and we'll be serving a selection of canapes during the event.
As we approach deepest winter, come and reflect on warmer summer days. We proudly introduce Emma Solley's first Private View at Lympstone Manor – a collection of paintings and fine art photographic works depicting joyful, meditative moments along the Exe Estuary and Devon coast.
Working along the Exe, close to the hotel, Emma shows a series of 20 works capturing the muted tones, warm pinks and rich palettes found within the landscape. Paintings feature dreamy summer skies to get lost in, whilst the fine art photographic works are produced on fine art museum archival paper, float behind glass and depict local scenes from Topsham, Lympstone, Exmouth and beyond. This new body of work is full of quiet optimism.
This is a private view event and all works will be available to purchase.
This event will commence at 6pm with a glass of Classic Cuvee on arrival, and we'll be serving a selection of canapes during the event. Emma will offer a 30 minute Q&A within the show and the evening will close at 9pm.
Artist Bio – Emma Solley (Salt + Land)
Nature is a recurring theme for Emma as an artist.
From huge dramatic skies, to tranquil oceans, scenes of big surf and rugged coastline, majestic expanses of Dartmoor, whatever the subject, Emma is constantly seeking a sense of peace, beauty and contemplation in her use of composition and colour.
She is particularly interested in the movement of water and the elemental relationship between the sea and the vast skies above. Her works have evolved from observations of natural forms and places she loves to be.
Lympstone Manor is decorated with Emma's artwork.
For the past two decades, she has worked in the creative industries. The early part of her career was spent in broadcast TV production, but latterly whilst raising her family, Emma has built a successful career as a highly regarded commercial photographer and artist.
Her photographs are widely published and her artworks are held internationally in both private and corporate collections. Emma lives and works in Devon.
£30 per person includes a glass of Classic Cuvee and a selection of canapes.
