Stop at the iconic Tamar Bridge and visit The Bridging the Tamar Visitor and Learning Centre which celebrates the heritage of both the 20th century Tamar Bridge and Brunel’s iconic 19th century Royal Albert Bridge.
It is a free to enter attraction, featuring an interactive exhibition space exploring the history of both bridges. Families will enjoy hands on bridge building, and there are a range of talks, tours and events throughout the year, including free introductory talks on a Tuesday Thursday and Saturday, and behind the scenes anchorage tours. Groups can also book bespoke tours.
There is a beautiful picnic area in the small landscaped grounds overlooking the River Tamar and the two bridges.
Open daily, 10am - 4pm (1 Jan 2024 - 31 Dec 2024) |
