Description

Meldon Viaduct - Accessible from Stage 1 This alternative route or detour from Stage 1 of the West Devon Way crosses the spectacular Meldon Viaduct, and passes closeby to Meldon Station on the scenic Dartmoor Railway on which trains travel between Meldon and Okehampton (and to Exeter on summer Sundays). A range of paths can be accessed from the Meldon Viaduct leading towards Meldon Reservoir, and up onto the high moors. Meldon Viaduct now forms part of the off road Granite Way cycle route, which in turn is part of the National Cycle Network 27 between the north and south coasts of Devon.

  3. 3
