You are here: Home > Information > Join Us - Membership > How to make the most of your listing
All our listing levels include a map, contact details, pricing and unlimited text. The text section of the site allows for bold text so that you can highlight headings and break up the text on your listing.
Each of our membership packages has a different range of features associated with the listing level. It is beneficial to ensure you make the most of the features available to you.
All our Silver and above listings can list facilities, have an increased number of images, add awards logo, add directions and travel information and add special offers. Our higher level packages also allow for social media feed and YouTube video integration.
There is no limit on the amount of text you can include on your listing, the text description is used to highlight your business features and explain what the images are depicting.
Write a description for your listing that is unique and targets individual markets. If your business has a USP include this or explain why you’re great for walkers, cyclists, families, couples or if you are dog-friendly.
Your listing will be indexed by Google so try and include some keywords that will help make your page more favourable for important searches – e.g. “we are a dog friendly Dartmouth hotel…”, etc.
Write a separate short description to your main text, the short description is what appears in the search results. Make it snappy and attractive, so visitors click on your record, not others.
Images are really important and key to selling your business to visitors. The number of images your listing can have depends on your listing level, these are detailed below. Please note that the website displays landscape images.
We always recommend the best images to host are light pictures taken on a bright day and taken in landscape to ensure as much detail as possible is displayed. For accommodation listings it is also helpful to include an image of the outside of your property.

Update the facilities section of your listing with the key facilities so visitors know if you offer parking, a swimming pool or include towels, as well as any that make you stand out from other businesses. Visitors can also search the site using facility tick boxes, these boxes use the facilities in their search criteria. The facilities section displays on Level 2 and above listings, but the facility tick box search results return all listing levels.
