The Pig & Whistle is a traditional Devon pub with log burners and a cosy feel which is centrally located a short drive from Totnes, Newton Abbot and Torbay.
The food is cooked to order using local produce from land to sea including; Dartmouth fresh fish, meat from local award winning butchers, local vegetables, Exmouth mussels, Brixham crab & Berry Pomeroy game from the local shoot – seasonally.
The bar is open all day from 11.30am (Sundays 12 noon) with a full menu & specials available lunch & dinner, 7 days a week.
Well known for their famous Sunday lunch. Booking is vital. Roast meals all day or until sold out.
Great outside seating and secluded patio area with cover from the elements.
At The Pig & Whistle you’ll find a wide selection of drinks including Dartmoor’s Jail Ale, Teignworthy & Hunter’s Breweries as well as a guest Ale, Worthington Cream Flow. Served up is also Luscombes soft drinks and a great range of new & old world wines by the glass or the bottle plus local wine from the Sharpham Estate. An extensive spirits list which includes some great Gin and Rums
There’s something for everyone here, they offer good home cooked dishes with vegetarian options, smaller portions of some dishes for the smaller appetite and a Piglets Menu for children under 12 years, a special offer lunch menu of 2 or 3 courses for a great price.
