You’ll find The Bedford Hotel in the heart of the award-winning Devon market town of Tavistock. In additional to comfortable and characterful bedrooms, you’ll also find a range of delicious dining options where the finest local ingredients of the season are the star of the show.
At lunchtime and in the evening The Bedford offers a full menu of British classics, contemporary dishes, fresh fish, locally sourced meats, game and plenty of vegetarian options. For a very civilised dining experience, the beautifully restored Woburn Restaurant offers the perfect setting, whilst the comfortable lounge and popular bar are also available for a more informal bite to eat.
As the birthplace of the Devon Cream Tea, it’s no surprise that teatime treats are taken very seriously at The Bedford. The classic cream tea, with homemade scones, local strawberry jam and clotted cream, is a traditional afternoon favourite, whilst the full afternoon tea service, complete with dainty sandwiches and tempting cakes, is perfect for a special occasion.
The Bedford also offers a range beautifully appointed spaces for private dining and events.
Average main course (lunch and dinner) £17.50
Traditional afternoon tea £19.50
