Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market 

Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market is a festive highlight in the heart of the county, set against the stunning backdrop of Exeter’s iconic cathedral from 15th November until 15th December. The market features an array of wooden chalets offering a mixture of high-quality gifts, handmade crafts, and delicious food and drink. Visitors can enjoy a warm and inviting atmosphere, with opportunities to sample international cuisines, sip mulled wine, and shop for unique Christmas presents. The historic surroundings add a special charm, making it a perfect place to soak up the festive spirit and enjoy a memorable day out with friends or family. 

Christmas Market at Torre Abbey, Torquay 

The Christmas Market at Torre Abbey is a brand-new event for 2024, offering a unique festive experience in the heart of Torquay. Running from 29th November to 22nd December, this market is set in the historic surroundings of Torre Abbey and features over 30 local stalls showcasing a range of crafts, gifts, and delicious food. Visitors can enjoy mulled wine and local beers at two Christmas bars, take part in family-friendly activities. Also at Torre Abbey from the 29th November to the 2nd of January will be the Alive with Light projection show as part of the Bay of Lights, with Torre Abbey being transformed into a canvas of light. With free entry and a warm, friendly atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy the festive season in Torquay. 

Indoor Christmas Market at Exmouth Christmas Village 

The Indoor Christmas Market at Exmouth Christmas Village returns for its second year, offering a unique shopping experience from December 13th to 17th. With over 80 covered stalls, this market focuses on independent, hand-selected businesses that provide something a little different, showcasing crafted goods and special gifts you won’t find at larger, more generic markets. Located on The Strand, it’s easy to access by train, bus, or taxi, and visitors can enjoy the festive atmosphere with music, laughter, and a dedicated bar – The Jingle Inn. With Christmas themed food stalls and an emphasis on supporting local artisans, this market is the perfect location for finding affordable, unique gifts while soaking up the Christmas spirit. 

Christmashay Village Exeter 

Christmashay Village at Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter is bigger than ever this year, open from 28th November until 22nd December. This Christmas Market and Bar feature over 25 local traders offering a fantastic selection of gifts, fashion, accessories, crafts, bakes, and more. With 17 Christmas cabins beautifully decorated by Bernvaville Nurseries, the market is set around a stunning Christmas tree in Princesshay Square and the main mall, creating a magical festive atmosphere. Popular traders include Big Bakes Bakery, Ruff Days, Sassy Upcycling, and Beachwood Trinkets. Visitors can also enjoy a festive drink at the Christmashay Bar, making it the perfect place to get into the holiday spirit and find something special for Christmas. 

Christmas Craft Market in Kingsbridge 

The Christmas Craft Market in Kingsbridge, running from 2nd to 24th December, showcases a wide variety of handcrafted items from talented local makers, including children’s Christmas cards, bags, chopping boards, prints, textiles, and more, you’ll find something for everyone on your list. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or something to brighten your home, this market has plenty of fantastic ideas. The market is open daily and welcomes all, including well-behaved children and dogs, with wheelchair access available. 

Totnes Christmas Market and Late Night Shopping 

Totnes Christmas Market and Late Night Shopping takes place on three Tuesdays in December – the 3rd, 10th, and 17th, from 3pm to 9pm. The town will sparkle with festive cheer as over 70 stalls offer a wonderful selection of artisan gifts, yuletide treats, and seasonal delights. Visitors can enjoy a variety of street food from around the world, along with mulled cider to stay warm. The streets will be filled with live entertainment, including street performers, community choirs, and the colourful Totnes Lantern Parade at 4:30pm on 17th December. Many town centre shops will stay open late, making it the perfect opportunity for an evening of shopping and festive fun in Totnes
