Just be aware that dogs aren’t permitted on Teignmouth Town Beach during the peak season, so if you’re visiting during this time be sure to join the beach from the Eastcliff Slipway.  

If you fancy making the walk even longer you can extend this walk by carrying on to Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.  

      

South West Coast Path: Teignmouth to Shaldon

Dogs are allowed on the beach during the off-peak season but not permitted from 1st April – 30th September.  

      

Shaldon Beach 

Across the river from the River Beach, Shaldon Beach sits on the Teign Estuary and overlooks the town.  

Again, dogs are allowed here from 1st October – 30th March, during the off-peak season.
