With news that Covid-19 lockdown rules are gradually easing, we are once again dreaming of lazy days on the beach, wild walks, quiet afternoons fishing on our lakes and the prospect of guests dipping their toes in the glistening sea, now that summer staycations are closer to reality.

Tucked away in a beautiful corner of South Devon close to the Dawlish Warren coastline, the team at Cofton Holidays are busy implementing plans that will ensure the safety of our guests, staff and the local community once we re-open.

Ready to welcome visitors when it is safe to do so, our brand new Cofton Copse Luxury Lodge collection is just waiting to be discovered. Carefully elevated above the multi award-winning campsite, the lodges make the most of their dramatic South Devon views. Here, visiting guests can enjoy large decking areas, bubbling hot tubs and floor to ceiling windows that flood our lodges’ luxury interiors with natural light and breath-taking vistas.

As soon as you pull up outside one of the 12 cedar-clad lodges, you won’t be able to resist pausing to take in the beautiful landscaped grounds with views as far as the eye can see.

Step inside and watch the stress and worry of the pandemic fall away. Each lodge comes with an open-plan living and dining area with a fully-equipped kitchen. Perfect for feasts, you can dine in style or relax with your favourite movie on the large LED TV, supported by fibre internet access and wireless speaker system.

Bask in the beauty of the British sun on the large private decking area or get competitive over a board game with family and friends under the parasol. Enjoy long Devon country walks or chill out under the stars in the fabulous hot tub; just let the bubbling water jets soak your troubles away over a glass of fizz.

Fluffy pillows and super-soft bedding will be waiting for you atop super king-sized beds in the master en-suite rooms, and twin beds that can be converted into doubles in the other bedrooms.

If you can drag yourself away from the comforts of your luxury lodge, Cofton has a range of award-winning facilities for you to enjoy, including access to five coarse fishing lakes. You can also follow our idyllic nature trails which take you down to the golden sands of Dawlish Warren Beach and Nature Reserve.

We also offer a range of other facilities on site which will open in line with government guidance over time, always respecting social distancing until advice changes. This includes our restaurant and dog-friendly pub.

For the time being, our heated indoor pool with a splash pad area and hydrotherapy lounger as well as our steam room, sauna, fitness studio, gym, outdoor pools, soft play area and playgrounds will remain closed, but we’re constantly assessing the situation to see how and when we might be able to relax restrictions, when the time is right.

In this respect, we are taking every precaution necessary to ensure the protection and wellbeing of our guests and staff. This includes the introduction of remote check-in, which is now available, allowing you to avoid the reception area on your arrival. A range of other social distancing measures will also be in place across the entire park to protect you during your stay, details of which can be found on our website.
