The PIG-at Combe

Situated in the Otter Valley in the pretty countryside village of Gittisham just outside of Honiton, The PIG-at Combe is a truly gorgeous Elizabethan estate. Whether you choose to stay or just dine, every inch of this dreamy hotel is an Instagram lover’s paradise! We particularly love The Folly, an indoor/outdoor dining area and bar complete with a wood-fired menu and lip smacking menu.

Thelma Hulbert Gallery

An award-winning art gallery in Honiton, Thelma Hulbert Gallery is a great day out for art enthusiasts of all ages. With an ever-changing programme of amazing exhibits, there really is something for everyone. And for those looking to take a snap for your Instagram, the building that houses the gallery is just perfect for it – a Grade II listed town house, which was once home to Thelma Hulbert herself.

East Hill Strips

East Hill Strips is a wonderful area situated within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Perfect for walks and with absolutely incredible views across the undulating countryside, this spot has to be included in our instagrammable list for Honiton. Napoleonic military sites and a Prehistoric ceremonial monument can also be found within the area of East Hill.

Cadhay House

A Tudor manor house situated close to Ottery St Mary, just south west of Honiton. Visitors can stay at this grand home or even hold their wedding there! For those looking to snap a social media picture, the house and garden are open to the public every Friday afternoon from May until September as well as other days on certain bank holidays.

Witness Moor Woodland

Witness Moor Woodland can be found on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty north west of Honiton. The magical forest provides enchanting wooded walks with lots of great viewpoints to be enjoyed. Meandering through the trees you’ll find lots of great photo opportunities especially during long summer nights when the rays peek through the canopies. During the cooler months and darker days this location is great for eerie shots of the native environment.

St Paul’s Church

Built in 1835, St Paul’s Church is located within the heart of Honiton. A grand but unimposing structure, the church’s architecture will be of interest to any of those with a passion for historical buildings. If your Instagram feed is usually filled with impressive constructions then this one will certainly fit right in.

Goren Farm

Goren Farm is situated just a short drive away from Honiton and is known for its wildflower meadows. Open to the public on weekends for the first three weeks of June, it is definitely a place that you’ll want to visit if you’re in the region at that time. The natural flowers create beautiful pictures and there are also events that are held at the farm such as a festival.

Roundball Lane Weir

On Roundball Lane in Honiton just over a small bridge, a magnificent cascading weir can be found. Toast Café & Pâtisserie

Toast Café & Pâtisserie can be found on Honiton High Street. As well as serving a up a delectable range of treats and sumptuous food, their courtyard/garden is such a pretty al fresco dining area. Grab some seriously instagrammable photos as you enjoy a traditional Devonshire cream tea or mouth watering brunch.

South Wood Farm

Although only open rarely to the public and part of the National Garden Scheme, in 2019 there are two days to visit in September, South Wood Farm in Cotleigh is a prime example of exceptionally kept gardens which surround a 17th century farmhouse. A visit will not disappoint for those in the vicinity on the selected dates and we can assure you’ll get a picture-perfect image to post on your Instagram!
