Half Term & Halloween Events in South Devon

There are a bunch of fantastic half term events happening across the region of South Devon, from workshops to special activities at some of the areas top attractions – there’ll be more than enough going on to help keep the whole family entertained. And if you’re little ones are looking forward to the spookiest night of the year, you’ll also be able to find some creepy Halloween events going on throughout the school holiday as well as all the way up to Halloween! Dartmouth Food Festival, Dartmouth (19^th – 21^st October)

Taking place in the picturesque harbourside town of Dartmouth, Dartmouth Food Festival is a celebration of all things delicious, with workshops, chef demos and more. Pennywell Dark Skies Evening, Buckfastleigh (20^th October)

Why not head to Pennywell Farm on the 20^th of October for something a little different? Enjoy an evening of guided star gazing with Plymouth and Tiverton Astronomical Societies, suitable for all ages. Booking is essential; learn more about Pennywell Dark Skies Evening here.

Creative Crafts Family Trail, Exmouth (20^th – 28^th October)

Kids for a Quid at South Devon Railway, Buckfastleigh (20^th – 28^th October)

Halloween Happenings, Torquay (20^th – 31^st October)

Dinosaur Halloween Horrors, Torquay (20^th – 31^st October)

Torquay’s Dinosaur World are holding special Halloween activities with a Halloween Horrors Hunt where you can win a Dinosaur Expert Certificate and even a FREE 160-million-year-old fossil as well as Lights Out Torch Tours everyday from 3:30pm. October Half Term at World of Country Life, Exmouth (20^th October – 4^th November)

Children’s Day of the Dead Costume Workshop, Kingsbridge (21^st October)

Spooky School this Halloween with Pocketwatch Theatre, Exeter (21^st – 26^th October)

Crealy Halloween, Exeter (22^nd – 31^st October)

Junior Vet Day, Honiton (23^rd October)

Hosted by The Donkey Sanctuary, budding vets between the ages of 11-15 can learn about equine veterinary care at The Donkey Sanctuary’s donkey hospital at Brookfield Farm near Honiton. Places are limited, booking essential, £80 per child. More details about Junior Vet Day are available here.

Drop-in Fish Kite Crafts, Exeter (23^rd October)

Tie-Dye Workshop, Exeter (24^th October)

Magic Martin at Pennywell Farm, Buckfastleigh (25^th October)

Fungal Foray, Slapton (25^th October)

Halloween Party, Honiton (27^th October)

Children’s Day of the Dead Costume Workshop, Bovey Tracey (27^th October)
