House of Marbles
House of Marbles, Bovey Tracey is situated on an historic site of the old Bovey Tracey Pottery and is home to a gift and toy shop, coffee shop and restaurant as well as wonderful displays about the history of marbles and pottery, complete with a model of the old pottery works showing which parts are still used and form part of House of Marbles site today.
In the gardens you’ll find games and a children’s play area complete with a giant floating marble, outside seating for the restaurant and more history with the 3 listed kilns which stand in the middle of the courtyard. Throughout the site there are also a number of marble runs providing hands on fun that everyone can enjoy.
Shopping
House of Marbles is the perfect shopping destination to get all your Christmas gifts. With everything under one roof from toys, games, puzzles, furniture, home accessorises and much more as well as the Teign Valley Glass shop where you can buy pieces of glass made by the in house glass makers.
Teign Valley Glass
House of Marble is home to Teign Valley Glass. The glassworks have recently under gone a £140,000 renovation which has transformed the space into a bright open work area and show room.
The wonderful space which has been created, which combines the glassworks and display spaces, gives you the unique chance to see the care and skill that goes in to each of the amazing pieces of glassware that lines the shelves around you.
By visiting the glassworks you can watch the glass makers using traditional techniques to transform the molten glass in to an amazing array of glasses, glassware, vases, statues and artworks, any of which will make the idea gift for your loved ones.

Meet Santa
Visit Father Christmas in his grotto at House of Marbles.
Join Santa as he stops by House of Marbles to see the Christmas decorations and enjoy the Christmas magic.
Santa will be visiting on;
Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th , Saturday 17th, Sunday 18th , Monday 19th, Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd. Visits are from 10am – 3pm.
*please note the 17th, 18th are the busiest days.
Grotto entry cost just £6.50 per child, including a free balloon, badge and gift.

The Old Pottery Restaurant
Take a break from the shopping and exploring the glassworks and gardens and stop off at The Old Pottery Restaurant. Set in the heart of the old pottery building the restaurant serves up freshly prepared food including breakfast, sandwiches, cakes, light meals and cream teas.
