As well as sitting on the Jurassic Coast, Sidmouth has the South West Coast Path runs along the it’s seafront connecting, by footpath, the town to the picturesque villages of Branscombe, Beer and town of Seaton in the East and Budliegh Salterton and Exmouth to the West.
Throughout the year the town hosts a wide range of events including the Sidmouth Literary Festival, Sidmouth Folk Week and Sidmouth Regatta. Along with a bustling seafront, amazing surrounding countryside, great attractions and lively town centre, with great range of shops, cafe's and restaurants Sidmouth makes a great destination for holidays, short breaks and day trips all year round.
The town has two beaches, Sidmouth beach which runs the length of the town and the Esplanade and is the perfect family friendly beach and Jacobs Ladder Beach, to the west, which is accessed by a series of white wooden steps and Connaught Garden.
