Exciting theatre and environmental project:
A Devon-based production using outdoor theatre to engage and inspire.
Using art and theatre to communicate their message, Troubadour Theatre Company, Plastic Free North Devon and Devon Wildlife Trust's Wembury Marine Centre are collaborating to deliver a nature-themed play set in the pools of Devon's rocky shores. Our audience will experience the challenges facing the creatures that call these places home and hear a 'call to action' to act on their behalf. The show will be staged in various locations around Devon.
THE SELFISH SHELLFISH, by David Wood,
This participatory performance for children and adults explores environmental issues in a lively way from the perspectives of the creatures living in a rock-pool. Urchin, Mussel, Starfish, Hermit Crab and Seagull invite the audience to help them save the rock pool and its inhabitants from pollution, plastic, chemicals and litter.
Bring a rug and a picnic and join us on the beach by the rockpool.
TROUBADOUR THEATRE
Troubadour Theatre is a social enterprise working through theatre and the arts to engage a range of people and communities to improve health and well-being, motivation and aspiration and to bring people together in community-based sharing activity. We aim to enhance the lives of participants and audiences in a way that benefits society and participants.
