The Lives and Times of legendary Plant Hunters.

Simon Akeroyd is Head gardener for the National Trust's English Riviera portfolio (Greenway, Coleton Fishacre, Compton Castle and Bradley Manor)

As part of Torquay Museum's Explorer Season, join Simon for his talk on famous plant hunters who in the last few hundred years risked life and limb during their travels as they explored overseas, seeking out exciting new plants from far flung places, so that we can enjoy them in our gardens at home.

Simon will also be signing copies of his latest gardening book 100 Perfect Plants.

This is a fundraising event for Torquay Museum. Tickets cost £5 and are available from reception at Torquay Museum either in person or over the phone. Pre-booking is advisable - call 01803 293975. A 50% discount is available for museum entry ticket when purchasing a ticket for this event.
