Award-winning documentary photographer Paul Glendell, presents images of the UK’s oldest surviving oak bark tannery, found in Devon. Bakers of Colyton have been traditionally processing top quality leather for centuries to supply distinguished shoemakers and top stables. This exhibition captures a nearly forgotten rural way of life, revealing the time and care taken in this ancient tanning process, as well as showing beautifully-made items crafted from oak tanned leather.
