Back by popular demand! Home Educator Day:

Dartmoor Zoo is a great place to get back to nature and learn about animals in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Our Home Educator Days are designed to welcome home educated children and their families to come and explore the zoo for just £15 (one adult and one child) with a different theme running each session. The days are designed to offer flexibility and freedom with talks and activities running across the site, or why not book onto one of our educator-led workshops to take an interactive dive into the topic?

Thursday 19th September will be looking at: 'Enrichment'.

Learn the 5 types of enrichment, their importance and how they are used here at Dartmoor Zoo. We will have opportunities for you to get involved in enrichment making throughout the day, the chance to design your own enrichment as well as see a range of enrichment 'in action' throughout the zoo during your visit.

There will be two free 'Enrichment Design' workshops taking place (40 spaces available in each, subject to availability) at 11 and 12 in our Jaguar Suite.

Our Pod will also be open from 11 - 3 with a 'Creation Station;' where you can have a go at making your own enrichment!

Finally, there will be talks throughout the day where you can see enrichment in action.
