Opening Times

Sorry, this event has passed

Running from 30th July until 31st August, a new, completely FREE exhibition will be taking a nostalgic look back over the last one hundred years of the town's high street.

Newton Abbot High Street has been a thriving hub of retail activity for many years, and using the 100-year celebration of Austins department store joining the high street as inspiration, this exhibition will highlight some of the town's favourite shops from 1924 until the present day. It will show changes in shopping trends, and offer a (shop) window into how the high street has changed over the decades.

There will be activities and talks taking place throughout August, and further information about these are available on our website.
