English Riviera Walking Festival (14 June 2025 - 22 June 2025) |
---|
Pack your rucksacks, fill your flasks, dig out your walking boots and join us at the English Riviera Walking Festival.
Whether you’re a regular hiker, or an infrequent stroller, this new family and dog friendly festival will appeal to walkers of all abilities who enjoy exploring the Great Outdoors.
Designed and hosted by an enthusiastic team of professional local guides and enthusiastic volunteers we have created an eclectic selection of half day and full day guided walks, set within the Naturally Inspiring English Riviera including: Torquay, Babbacombe, Paignton and Brixham.
Hear about Torquay’s best-known resident, Agatha Christie, and her extraordinary life, take a walk around Brixham’s bustling harbour with a pirate, learn about our enchanting Seafood Coast, or go on a foraging walk at historic Torre Abbey.
And after enjoying the magnificent vistas and all that fresh air, you can simply ‘take off’ and explore the English Riviera independently with so much to see and do.
Many of our walks incorporate the famous South West Coast Path, the UK’s longest national trail which winds through some of the most spectacular coastline in the country. There are jaw-dropping views, picturesque paths, perfect picnic spots, secluded coves plus lots of wildlife to spot and photograph. You might even see pods of dolphins and curious seals that appear around our rocky outcrops and beaches.
What’s more, the English Riviera is a designated UNESCO Global Geopark just one of 8 geoparks in the entire UK and 140 worldwide, which makes this area a magnet for walkers who are drawn by its incredible geology, landscapes and heritage.
With easy access by train or car to the English Riviera, walkers to the festival can look forward to staying at a wide range of accommodation which you can book now on the English Riviera website for you and your canine friends.
If you relish walks by the sea, whilst discovering new footpaths and learning about what makes the English Riviera so special, then why not add this exciting festival to your ‘to-do’ list and share news of this great new walking event with your friends and family.
To receive full details of the English Riviera Walking Festival Programme please email enquiries@englishrivierabid.co.uk.
Please note that you will be required to pre-book any of the walks you would like to join.
