Walk through Carswell Farm at early morning light and listen to the sweet sound of dawn chorus. An exhilarating way to start your day.
We're hosting a number of guided safari tours with ecologist and bird specialist Robbie Phillips.
From farmland to seabirds, Robbie will bring you into the world of breeding birds at Carswell Farm. Learn how to identify a range of species from song and calls as well as understanding their behaviours and how they use varying habitats to feed and nest in.
Along the coastal path, we're likely to hear a range of species including yellowhammer, chiffchaff, cirl bunting and linnets plus many more.
We'll stop for hot drinks and pastries, half way through the walk.
The tour is on foot and we'll cover roughly 5km of coastal/foot paths and some rough terrain.
Due to the nature of Carswell Farm, this tour isn't suitable for anyone with mobility impairment. We advise sensible footwear and wet weather clothes, if raining.
Sunday 7th May (International Dawn Chorus Day)
