Craft Revolution: Tonics & Tinctures with Tania Bryson – one-day course

Just like wise women over the centuries, we'll harness the power of plant goodness on this course to make herbal syrups, infusions, decoctions and tinctures to help care for ourselves and our loved ones throughout the winter months.

10:00 – 16:00

Over the course of the day we'll dive into the botanical world to explore the health-giving properties of different herbs such as lemon balm, nettle, lavender and comfrey and use them to make infusions, oils, syrups and tinctures. These will then become the base for:

a nerve calming and sleep-inducing tea
a warming muscle rub
an immune-boosting syrup
and a daily tonic tincture to help ward off the common cold

At the end of the day you will take home these delights; but more importantly, you'll have gained an understanding of herbs and of the various processes to be able to make these remedies at home. Like the herbs, over the day you'll be steeped in the folklore of medicinal and beauty remedies used throughout the ages.
Tania Bryson is founder of Dream Thyme Herbal, making gorgeous handmade herbal body care using home-grown and locally-picked herbs. Her recipes are original, use traditional techniques and are free from palm oil. She is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the uses, properties, history and magic of herbs and herbal use.
