Everyone is invited to our FREE family-friendly community day at The Glade.
In celebration of our new accessibility status, we are inviting you to join us in the woods for a day of activities, workshops, music and good food!
This year we have been working hard behind the scenes to make The Glade accessible to all. We now have a wheelchair drop off point, on-site disabled parking, matting and ramps across the site, and wheelchair access to our tree table and fire circle. This also means the site is now much more pushchair friendly, too.
We have a host of activities lined up for all to enjoy, thanks to some wonderful local facilitators who are generously giving up their time for free to share their talents and offerings with us all. Please see below for the schedule.
Pizza Pirates will also be there to make sure no one goes hungry, and we'll have our famous waffles for sale in the woodland cafe, as well as a range of hot and cold drinks.
There will also be a few stalls selling wares from local businesses – perfect for anyone looking to get ahead with the Christmas shopping! And there will be cacao for sale, too.
We will have the fires on and shelters aplenty, so the event will go ahead whatever the weather!
Raffle tickets are available to purchase ahead of time, or on the day. All prizes have been generously donated by local businesses, with the proceeds being used to help regenerate our woodland and to plant lots of trees locally.
Join us for:
10am – yin/yang yoga with Lara
10am (throughout morning) – children's woodland crafts with Anne from Little Squirrels CIC
11am – life drawing with Ian from Stretch and Sketch
