TITLE: Plymouth's premier New Material Comedy night with Pro Headliner Kev Mud!
- STARTS -
The Comedy night at Bread & Roses, Ebrington Street, is the longest running New Material/Open Mic in Plymouth. This event will feature comics from all levels of experience trying out new material, from brand new 1st timers to professional stalwarts.
Each month features a paid professional headliner and July we welcome the one and only Kev Mud
Kev Mud: After a life of living on and off the streets, Kev is now hiding away in a caravan on a sheep field. Surreal, warm and cuddly, but with a sharp edge. He's only been going for a few months but has already graced stages from Falmouth to London to Glastonbury alongside acts from Mock The Week, QI and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Rising star of the UK Comedy Scene, Kev Mud is "one to watch" (Chortle) and "one of the best new acts in the last 20 years" (Spiky Mike, Funhouse Comedy). He brings his experiences as a homeless ex-addict to a performance that has been described as "honest, charming and humorous" (British Comedy Guide), by delivering his stories and cleverly written pieces "with charm and wit" (Chortle).
Hosted by the Anarchic Willtordian Ballorian Edwardian: A Plymouth resident of 5 years, he has built a reputation as an original comic with a number of songs and skits regarding a variety of topics. A warm and lively host.
