Devon's Buckfast Abbey has announced that its popular three-day Christmas Market will return for 2022, taking place from Thursday 1st December to Saturday 3rd December (10am – 5pm).
Free to enter, and with on-site parking available for free, the family-friendly Christmas Market will feature independent stalls offering everything from delicious food and drink to unique gifts handmade by local craftsmen. Visitors will also have an opportunity to explore the Abbey's stunning grounds and its beautiful Abbey church, which form the backdrop to the festive Christmas market.
Abbot David Charlesworth commented: "We look forward to welcoming visitors to Buckfast Abbey's Christmas Market to mark the start of a joyful festive season."
In addition to the Christmas Market, the Abbey will be holding a special festive programme of music on the Saturday evening after the market closes, which will include Charpentier's joyous Messe de minuit sung by Exeter Chamber Choir. Guests can buy tickets to the performance on 3rdDecember, which starts at 7:30pm, through the Abbey website. https://www.buckfast.org.uk/product/tickets/exeter-chamber-choir-messe-de-minuit
