Drake's Trail Cycling Spur 1 - Yelverton to Burrator and Clearbrook - 12 miles This route passes through the scenic village of Meavy before climbing to a path giving superb views of Dartmoor and south towards Plymouth. The route completes a circuit of Burrator Reservoir before following country lanes to Clearbrook and returning along the off road Drake's Trail route. The route takes aroun 2 1/2 hours, and is mainly on minor roads, and some sections of cycle trail. There are some gradual climbs, and occasional steeper climbs.

- 2 Turn left into Meavy Lane.
- 3 Cycle into Meavy, turning left at the village green, past the pub and up the hill.
- 4 Turn left at the top of this lane, and continue uphill.
- 5 Turn right over a cattle grid towards Burrator Dam.
- 6 After about 700m follow the wooden 'Cycle Path' sign that forks on your left.

- 8 At the end of the path, turn right onto the road.

- 12 At the junction, turn left towards Sheepstor.
- 13 Opposite the monument, turn right and proceed up the big hill.
- 14 Bear right at a T-junction.
- 15 At the next junction turn right, back down towards Meavy.
- 16 Turn left by Meavy School.
- 17 Go through Meavy and turn left following the NCN27 signs to Clearbrook.
- 18 Carefully cross the main road contuing along the road directly opposite.
- 19 On reaching Hoo Meavy at the end of the road, turn right to cycle uphill through the village of Clearbrook, passing a pub on your right.

- 24 The path emerges at a carpark next to the church at the top of Meavy Lane.
