About Us
For a quirky dining experience with fantastic sea views whatever the weather, the Pods at Hope Cove are a must. Operating from May throughout the main holiday season until the end of October.
The bistro, aptly named the 'Lobster Pod" is not just a restaurant – local fishermen use the lobster storage tank to store their live lobsters. These are then sold direct to their customers, and of course, for the bistro.
The comfortable Pods accommodate up to 8 people, each enjoying 180-degree views across Harbour beach and out to Bigbury Bay. Some are heated – essential in winter – as well as having a Bluetooth connection for your personal choice of music. The Pods are bookable in advance and you can reserve a whole one for just two if you like.
Larger bookings and cosy events are bookable in the Cabin, offering elevated views over the beach and ocean.
The menu is honest and simple, serving locally caught sustainable seafood with minimal food miles. Fish and Chips, Burgers, Pizza and fresh Lobster, caught literally just off the beach at Hope Cove.
Please note that the Pods and Cabin are situated on the side of the hill and are only accessible by steps. W.Cs are located just adjacent to the site. Car parking is available at the nearby public car park in Hope Cove, just a short stroll away.
