Welcome to the Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary and Buckfast Butterfly Farm.
A small, friendly, family run place to visit in South Devon, ideal for a family visit whatever the weather.
VISIT
Opening Times & Admission
We are open every day from 10am-3.00pm. Otter feeding times are 11.30 and 2.00pm
Visits are very informal at this time of year while we carry out our winter refurbishments.
The butterfly house is closed now until April 5th when the first butterflies of the season will be on the wing for visitors to enjoy. Numbers will be few at first but will increase through April.
Otter feeding times are 11.30am, 2.00pm. These are the best times to see and enjoy our amazing resident otters.
Our gift shop is open with an interesting selection of gifts with an otter and butterfly theme.

Tickets can be pre-purchased, or you are welcome to buy your tickets at our reception when you arrive.

OTTER FEEDING TIMES

Feeding time!
This is the best time to come and meet our otters, our keeper will give a talk and tell you all about our resident otters and why they are with us.

Have you met Izzard?
He is our resident iguana
We rescued and re-homed Izzard, he is about 11 years old now and loves showers to cool down and loves a good neck scratch from our keepers.
