Find all the tricks among the treats and receive a sweet surprise and certificate on completion; just £3 per trail.

Pumpkin carving
Wednesday 23 – Thursday 31 October, 11am - 3pm
Pick a pumpkin and get creative carving your spooky masterpiece, ready to take home and display at Halloween. Just £3 per pumpkin.

Experience the great outdoors this autumn and explore the scenic trails where you'll come face to face with the hundreds of donkeys cared for at the sanctuary, including the gentle giant Poitous, lovable adoption donkeys and ever-so cute miniature donkeys. It is also a great time to enjoy an autumnal walk through the woods and even venture down to the sea, before trying your luck in the maze, which will have you guessing from start to finish.

Visit the award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden, created to celebrate the charity's 50th anniversary and highlight the vital importance of donkeys in providing some of the world's poorest and most vulnerable communities with access to clean, fresh water. Learn more about their worldwide work and why donkeys are so special through fun, interactive displays in the Exhibition Barn and Understanding Donkeys Zone or join one of the daily tours, talks or demonstrations.

Take sanctuary in their Taste of the West award-winning restaurant, The Kitchen, where you can enjoy fresh, local, seasonal produce while soaking in the unparalleled coast and country views. Discover their new Sunday Brunch menu - the perfect weekend treat to enjoy with friends, family and fabulous views. And for unique donkey-design items and souvenirs to remember your visit by, head to the well-stocked Gift Shop.

The Donkey Sanctuary celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019, after being founded as a charity in 1969 by Dr Elisabeth Svendsen MBE. It has many achievements to celebrate and a renewed vision for the future that will transform the welfare of donkeys and mules across the world.

Entry and parking at the sanctuary is FREE (donations welcome). Dogs on leads are welcome.
